As my introductory article stated, before beginning any cleanse it is imperative that you are eliminating toxins from the colon regularly. To be prepared for cleansing you should be having a bowl movement 2-3 times a day – If you take 1/2 tsp of Sulfurzyme powder mixed in a few ounces of juice or water just before a meal 2-3 times a day you will find your eliminations will occur quite naturally. Young Living’s Sulfurzyme contains a natural form of sulfur – MSM, methylsulfonylmethane, a protein building compound found in breast milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, and Ningxia wolfberry (Lycium barbarum). MSM can combat autoimmune diseases like arthritis and asthma. MSM is critical to healthy skin, hair and liver health. Ningxia wolfberry fruit contains minerals to support sulfur metabolism. MSM helps to strengthen smooth muscle activity especially in the intestines and can improve peristalsis and elimination of toxins via the intestinal tract.
Intestinal cleansing can also be done with a number of herbs, which I do not recommend. Be sure you are using a high quality combination, not herbs mixed with laxatives (like senna) which can be addicting. Laxatives and herbal combinations can eliminate the intestines but may cause cramping and discomfort as the intestines are forced into contraction. Be sure to drink adequate amounts of water in this initial phase.
